I did a new thing that scared the crap out of me, and I’m going to showcase the results to you today! By doing this, I hope it motivated something in you to take advantage of these next 42 days.

TYLER vs EMPLOYER vs BULLET ASSASSIN
So here’s a realization that I had the other day while recording a Patreon episode of a Draw and Talk Uncensored episode. While talking about BULLET ASSASSIN, I had the realization that this story is actually extremely personal and I didn’t connect the dots until that day.
The story of BULLET ASSASSIN is about betrayal from an employer and learning to deal with a new reality and world that you must survive in. I thought I was just having a fun time making an isekai story about a female assassin living in a fantasy world with an AR-15. I was trying to be silly.
But the fact is, this story is extremely personal because essentially, I’m going through the same thing that the main character, Akari, is going through. In July I was laid off from an employer who I was extremely loyal to, for reasons that were entirely their fault. You see, this guy (Dave) made me tryout for his company for freaking TWO MONTHS. I finally get into the company, worked more than 40 hours each week to learn everything and be the best I could, and even used my own money to help build their marketing stuff, only to be laid off 20 days in because Dave (who I’d only seen maybe 10 times) wanted to go in a different direction.
He fucking ruined my outlook on work and the world. He threw me into a spiral that I’ve yet to recover from. What I’ve realized is that Akari’s vengeance, hatred, and emotional turmoil are all MINE. It’s been extremely cathartic to create this book, and I hope that you check out this story and get to see my emotional rage that I showcase throughout the pages.
Oh. And fuck Dave. I hope he has a fucking shitty Thanksgiving.

So a couple of weeks ago I had the realization that the end of the year was getting close, and decided to evaluate what I had accomplished this year and what I DIDN’T accomplish.
One of the things that I did not accomplish was having a strong Youtube presence. Don’t get me wrong, the DRAW AND TALK channel did some really awesome views this year and had growth, but it didn’t have the growth I wanted.
After talking with my friend Animaine about this, he showed me the results of a new channel that he had created that was doing significantly better than the channel he’d been working on for YEARS. You see, Youtube is a skill that you have to learn, but also once you learn certain things, the channel you’ve been “practicing on” can at some point be your worst enemy.
Because I’ve pivoted on my content so much on Draw and Talk, Youtube’s algorithm just didn’t know what to do with my channel. The thing is…I’ve known this for months! In fact, I even started a new channel 3 months ago but was too scared to make content on there because I didn’t want to have to start from zero.
And then I realized that 2023 was about to end and that I could either just ride it to the end, OR try and use these final weeks to make something new to start 2024 strong. So. I spent a week creating content, and 2 days ago I uploaded my first video.
Keep in mind, my normal videos on DRAW AND TALK don’t do these views, so the fact that a brand new channel did these views already within the first 48 hours has gotten me excited.
And this is something that I hope inspires you.
Don’t wait until 2024 to begin your goals, start now. You have 42 days left to still accomplish stuff and to give yourself a head start into 2024. It’s never too late.
And if you’re scared like me because you don’t want to start at zero…the fact is…
Everyone was accomplished something had to start at zero.
Unless they were born rich, famous, and had connections….but you get the point :)

Hey ya know what?!
..I needed to hear this. So as always, thanks for the newsletter.
I’ve had a bit of a rough pass in the last couple of days, had to come to terms with my own inner demons. I’ll just say that I’m gonna be as true to myself as possible, and not take any of my good fortune for granted.
My mom is pushing me to fight, to fight as hard as I can, for the things I want and/or the dreams I have. (I love her very much)
So right now, I’m in a state of knowing that fate owes me nothing. While at the same time, getting my act together and getting junk done!
Cause I wanna tell some great stories!
And have a Silly Manga-Goose Time!!
